Title: Transformers: Fall of Cybertron
Post by: Dtmech on August 27, 2012, 15:32
I want to ask if there will be support for Transformers: FoC?
I can upload files needed for that.

I'm working on it. umodel already has support for textures from this game, nothing else is supported yet. I can't promise anything because this game has significantly changed engine.

Any news on the transformers support?

Nearly 50% of animations (which are stored in a new format) are not working. Everything else works fine.

So that's good, sure would be nice to get anims but if it's not possible then we will do with what we get.

So wait... I'm confused, can Umodel currently rip character models? or is that support coming eventually?
Because I can't seem to extract any of the TR or UI files.  (I remember the character meshes were in the UI_Lobby file in the first game, maybe those aren't the right ones anymore?)

Hi I'm new here.

I've been scouring the internet as to how to extract audio from the Fall and War for Cybertron games and I can't seem to get anywhere. All the files are .xxx format and I've tried following the tutorials on your site but it just says file not supported, I also tried renaming them to .upk .ppk but still nothing. :-\ Is it even possible to extract audio from these files?

Thanks

Transformers has sounds inside upk/xxx files. Use -sounds option to extract them. They're in FSB format.

Hi again, Thanks for the quick reply. Could you pm or write a step by step method into doing this please as I am not very competent at using the command line interface.

Dear all,

In Fall Of Cybertron i can easily find and export kind of all skeletal meshes, all textures and a whole bunch of sounds and dialogues, but... can anybody tell me why i can only find just A FEW static meshes in the packages/files of this game?! Am i doing something wrong, am i searching the wrong files or is it simply not possible to find and export ALL the static meshes used in this Transformers game?! I found plenty of static meshes' textures though...

Any help will b appreciated...

SOLVED my very own problem!!! I found ALL the evironmental static meshes in the "ESC_..._ART_m.xxx" packages!!! Stupid me!!! Maybe this post can now help other people facing the same issue...

does anybody knows where the damned wheels of vehicles are??? in which file(s)?

I seem to be having trouble getting things working properly.
Every time I view a model or get it exported to like 3DS Max, the models come out white and not in their original colors, Along with that, the vehicle forms don't even have their wheels as part of the model. Finally, I can't find certain models like Bruticus, The Ark and the Nemesis ships, the drones from the sea of rust, and the Dinosaur forms for ALL of the Dinobots. Is there a way to get this straightened out so that they could be exported properly? Does this also work the same way as in War for Cybertron?

I've been giving umodel a go again, and I can't seem to find where the models are, nor do I know how to get them properly extracted and able to be viewed. This game is freak'in difficult to get stuff from.  >:(

Hi, is there any way that umodel can extract multiuple files at once! Because I would like to extract all of the transformeers fall of cybertron game models at once. Is this possible?

look for "How can I export data from all game packages?"

Thanks! It is extracting right now. Is there any way on how to get the color maps in fall of cybertron? Because the textures are in black and white and have an alpha channel. Does it have something to do with the NormY?

Sorry for bringing this back up, but I'm hoping to extract models from the game after not trying to for a while. Is it possible to extract entire models to save time having to look up each individual body part?

Title: Re: Transformers: Fall of Cybertron

No, it is not possible unless game has full models.

So, to have the whole model skeleton mesh together, I have to put the parts together somehow in some program? Then if I want them for SFM, I export them to SMD, and so on? Plus I've been meaning to find the retro blaster weapon skeleton mesh, but can only find the textures. Anyone know where I can find skele ton meshes and the textures for the weapons?

Sorry for the Necro-Bump, but does anyone know where I can find the SFX for Fall of Cybertron? I'm mainly looking for dialogue, weapon SFX, movement sounds, and SFX for the transformation and combination sequences.

Apologies for the extremely long necro-bump, but I'm new to umodel and I've been trying to extract models from Transformers: Fall of Cybertron.  I'm kind of confused as to why whenever I export an xxx file (for example, TR_Sideswipe_ROBO_p ), I only see the TGA files and not the model itself.  Am I doing something wrong?  If nothing is wrong, does this have anything to do with the game's servers being shut down completely?

Watch tutorials - you may find them in Help section on umodel's UI, or in readme, or ... in many other places.
Key thing to watch: "scan content" function.

thank you for the quick response!  Unfortunately, even though I looked through the tutorials, I tried to open the xxx files and it says the following (first pic).  Not sure what I'm doing wrong here.
This is what I receive in the command feed (second pic).

I don't know why Texture2D shown as "unsupported object". This could happen only if you'll disable textures on startup.
Did you ever tried doing "scan content"?

I did scan content first and when I went to check on the files, I got the message

Do you understand what content scan gives to you?
Anyway
1. what are you trying to do?
2. if you're completely messed with output, just do the usual procedure: record a video showing your actions and umodel's results, and post it to youtube.

The main thing I'm trying to do is extract the models for a project I have in mind.
Here is the video, for some reason, after I did "scan content", the textures showed. https://youtu.be/_W9ew2wxvMU
My goal now is to get the models

I don't see package browser window for some reason.
BTW I'd suggest looking at "Navigate" menu, probably you've missed things placed there.

That's because I recorded this with Xbox Game Bar, and for some reason, it only shows the first screen shown i think.  In the following picture is the package browser.
Also, this is what I see when I go to navigate

You should select something where "Skel" and/or "Stat" are not empty. You may sort list by clicking at the table title. The package file which you selected has only a few textures. Damn, I'm explaining very basic things here.

@Tatsumi7886: It's hard to tell anything without full error message, maybe you forgot to set game specific override option at startup screen or something. Also you can read posts above, they may be helpful to clear particular things, especially if you didn't work with UE3 games in umodel before.

This is how I put it before trying to look for the models (first photo), its done properly isnt it?

Besides that, there is no error message for me, I just try opening something (The second photo for example, which I assume is the model since its the one whose name fits the most since I know that animations cant be worked with) and a flash happens then nothing, besides when I try to export it without opening it doesnt export anything :c

I've read the messages before mine and I dont seem to find a solution
