Trying to extract the models from this game and getting this:

Quote
ERROR: Memory: bad allocation size -1625540072 bytes
appMalloc:size=-1625540072 (total=0 Mbytes) <- FArray::Empty:-493375614 x 12 <- FPackageFileSummary::Serialize3 <- FPackageFileSummary<<:Ver=884/131 <- UnPackage::UnPackage:gameunit_xcom_hq_SF.upk, ver=884/131, game=ue3 <- UnPackage::LoadPackage:gameunit_xcom_hq_SF.upk <- CUmodelApp::ShowPackageUI <- Main:umodel_build=1183

Is there any way to do something with this?

There are 2 supported XCOM games, and it seems this one has some changes which didn't exist in older games. I'd state the game as unsupported.

So, there's no options?

Sorry, no. I've quickly reviewed UModel's code to see if I could hack things with "-pkgver=..." option, however there's nothing what could be done.

This is a bizarre release, due to it being fairly recent, but most likely not being an Unreal Engine 4 game. If it's any help I have all the files needed for examination as told by the FAQ, as well as the pkgtool results. I'd really like this game to be supported, it's got some excellent work and I'd love to mess around with some of the models.

This is UE3 game. As any other XCOM.

I knew it was UE3. I was just hoping I could supply the files needed to get it supported. Even though there are dev tools for the game already, I can't get them to work properly and apparently I'm not the only one. Using umodel/ueviewer would be much more preferable than trying to manually sift through absolutely everything in the dev tools anyway...

Use latest specific umodel build from this topic for the game - no special override is required, it should be detected automatically (though there is specific override option just in case). All assets should be supported, except for some animations.

Update: Animations are now supported as well in the updated build.

Animations should be now supported in the updated build. Among normal animations there are sequences, which contains only animation notifies and reference to parent sequence - they are simply skipped now, as umodel doesn't use notifies anyway, the rest should work in the usual way.
