Outlast .bnk files
« on: September 13, 2013, 23:46 »

So i want to know if it is possible to extract sounds from the new Outlast game. I researched a little and found out that the sounds are in .bnk files and are in WWise format.
I aslo found this site: http://wiki.xentax.com/index.php?title=Wwise_SoundBank_%28*.bnk%29

I tried using audiorip and ww2ogg but it only made some messy sounds that had random noise in them.
If someone has any tools that work for this format, i'd like to have a copy of them.

Thanks in advance!

hm, old topic but the thing is that you should never look at file endings. They are just endings. Sometimes a .dds can be something else or a .ogg can be a 3d model. You have to look into the file and try to understand if it is actually a .bnk file. It could be a .wav that is encrypted etc
