The Unreal Package Extractor does not work for the game Stranglehold for the Xbox 360, which runs on a modified Unreal Engine 3. Sample .XXX's can be provided if necessary. It does not work for the game Shadow Complex for the Xbox 360 either, which runs on the Unreal Engine 3. I suspect that both use the same .XXX variation, which cannot be extracted using the UPE.
May I please request Unreal Package Extractor support for these two games? Thank you very much in advance!

Supporting the game with "package extractor" is almost the same as supporting with umodel Please explain to me: why do you need support by "extractor" (which will create files in internal engine format, not supported by any program), but not by "model viewer" ?

I'm not interested in the graphics, I'm interested in the music. And I have the skills needed to convert the music files.

You can request Gildor by sending him a PM. I would suggest also considering making a donation. ..:: ESR911 ::..

Midway's game again ... Send me a files from Stranglehold (default.xex, core.xxx, engine.xxx and a few files with models). Most probably animations will not be supported.

I've implemented Stranglehold package loading in umodel. Umodel and extractor tools are both updated. Textures are supported, animations will not be supported (this game uses havok animation system), meshes cannot be tested - I have no package with them. I need some packages with skeletal meshes to continue reversing. To find such packages you may use umodel -list <package_name> and check for log lines containing " SkeletalMesh" text.

StrangleholdGame.xxx contains scripts, basic game meshes (weapons) and animations (which will not be supported for this game). This package uses special UE3 package compression scheme which do not allow me to detect compression algorithm. Usually such files uses LZX for XBox360 and ZLib for PC, but Midway's games uses LZO. I've decompressed this package with a special version of umodel, but this version will not be compatible with other UE3 games

Stranglehold skeletal mesh support is done. Animations are not supported, so use "-noanim" switch.
