How to load .upk animation without skeletal mesh in umodel
« on: September 05, 2016, 21:58 »

Some games separate the animations from skeletal meshes, like mirrors edge:

I am trying to load animation upk but umodel tells me "There's no visual object loaded now. Press O to load a different package"

is there a way I can solve this?

meaning, I would like to load animation from upk files in skeletal meshes belonging to other upk files

sorry if I am was not clear

thanks

You can't load animation aside from Skeletal Mesh to viewer. UModel can't DISPLAY animation without a mesh. However, you can
1) export animation
2) load animation WITH MESH - just select 2 packages (with mesh and with animation) in UI and load both.

thanks for the fast reply, I'm big fan of your ue viewer.

I'll try to export from command the mesheless animation upk file because I have tried from the umodel ui (ctrl+x) and it didnt work

Did you see a package selection window? It has export button - just select as many packages as you want and press it! No needs to use command line at all.
