Hi guys and girls.

I've been reported by several people that Windows 10 Defender starts to alert that UModel.exe has a trojan inside (Win32/Azden.A!cl). I did a quick search in Internet. It seems this is a new Windows Defender issue. Example links with discussion:

https://github.com/openshift/source-to-image/issues/843
https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=265&t=143482
https://www.google.com/search?q=Trojan:Win32/Azden.A!cl+defender+false+alert&gws_rd=cr
https://borncity.com/win/2018/06/28/windows-defender-reports-trojans-as-false-positives/

Please keep in mind that UModel is totally open-source software, so it shouldn't have any viruses inside. My PC where I'm building UModel is clean. Also, it seems that other antivirus software do not report any viruses in UModel.exe.

Previously Defender reported issues even with Microsoft software. I think it blocked Internet Explorer some time ago.

Just in case, here's today's scan of umodel.exe taken directly from github:
https://www.virustotal.com/ru/file/c6b240b3d0a84fe969119de4cb7a5c10700d734cc45e422c5eabe00a7a0b1778/analysis/1535111782/

You may see here that "mature" antivirus software didn't find any threat there. On my Windows 10 PC I have Windows Defender disabled - it is useless for me (I'm quite careful when working with anything downloaded from Web) and slows down PC too much.

Wouldn't be the first time it's done this.
