Question for the 3ds Max animators out there -

Does anyone know how to save the psa animations that you import using umodel in a format that can be used on a max biped file? For instance, I've imported the spiderman 2 animations into 3ds max and can get spiderman to run, jump, etc. I would now like to save/export the walk animation for use on another biped file I have. Is this possible?

Thanks!

You want to Automaticly Replace existing skeleton, at Biped Skeleton, with Envelope Values and then use animation PSA?
Or you wont to Replace mesh to other skeleton, with saving Envelope Values and Animation and  then using animation from Old skeleton, import it on new skeleton ?

I don't need the mesh, envelopes, or skin information - I was just trying to get the spiderman keyframe information onto a standard biped so that I could save it for future use. I've done this with Oblivion models in the past but I can't remember exactly how I did it - was just hoping someone else had figured this out to refresh my memory. I think it had something to do with exporting the animation as an fbx file. I'll play around with it some more and let you know if i get it to work.

well donwload fbx exporter free from autodesk homepage, and you dont need to give them any info *hint*

When you save as fbx and import into new document it's just nice bones there waiting to be pulled

Sorry your question doesn't make any sense. Remap animation using Motionbuilder to any other biped or skeleton you want.

What? are you serious? that is beyond the scope of this forum, here is a link that can help:

http://www.digitaltutors.com

Don't be lazy, do a search on Google for motionbuilder, also visit Autodesk's own site for Motionbuilder tutorials: http://area.autodesk.com/
