about Unreal Package Extractor
« on: April 09, 2016, 17:38 »

I use Unreal Package Extractor (extract.exe) to extract files from upk, and I got binary files like xxx.Texture2D, xxx.Package, xxx.World, etc.
I wonder how could I read these files.

I know umodel can generate tga or psk files, but it seems don't extract non-visual files such as scripts and scene files. Is that true?

Thanks

Yes, umodel can extract only mesh, animation and texture data. "Extractor" is rather useless for most people, so don't try to use data generated with this tool.

Is this still the case? Is there any way to convert any of this data after extracting? I'm trying to mod Battleborn and UModel won't open it but I've gotten the decompressor and extractor working with all of the upk files. There are .texture2d files I'd like to view but I can't.
