I have recompiled umodel for Linux. For compilation Ubuntu 7.04 were used, but probably program will work with any gcc4-based distribution. SDL 1.2 is required to launch program.
Download is here: www.gildor.org/en/projects/umodel#files

After a long delay I've recompiled umodel for Linux. Now I'm using latest openSUSE instead of Ubuntu 7, and gcc 4.8.1. I'm building it under VirtualBox VM and can't try whether it can work in viewer mode or not - my system displays an error message that OpenGL library is not found (but it really exists!)

If someone could test it for me, that would be great.

I've added a possibility to build both 32 and 64 bit versions of UModel on Linux. Currently this site contains only 32-bit version of UModel distribution. If there's somebody who interested in 64-bit version, please let me know.

Linux version of the UModel now saving all files to the user's home directory, i.e. exported files will be in "~/UmodelExport", screenshots in "~/Screenshots" etc.
