So, guys, can I add this game to the compatibility table as supported? If yes - what's working and what's not?

Title: Re: Dragon Ball FighterZ
Post by: Juso3D on January 27, 2018, 18:38
So far Meshes and Materials/Textures, can't get animations to work yet...

Title: Re: Dragon Ball FighterZ
Post by: TerryXX on January 27, 2018, 23:26
Hi Gildor, the only thing that does not work it is the recognition of materials with related textures https://imgur.com/a/ZHQGS if you try to extract a model is skip materials and textures, now I try to import a model on 3dsmax.

Title: Re: Dragon Ball FighterZ
Post by: Gildor on January 27, 2018, 23:28
What about animations?
And - is this "demo" or "release" version of the game? If "demo", things may change right after release, and it is not worth larking about it at all.

Post by: TerryXX on January 27, 2018, 23:55
I managed to import everything without problems https://imgur.com/a/W1KLb
In this game on PC it is not out there a demo or beta version, about the animations this is the error:
MapTypeName <- FPropertyTag<< <- CTypeInfo::SerializeProps <- UObject::Serialize <- UAnimSequenceBase::Serialize <- UAnimSequence4::Serialize <- LoadObject:AnimSequence4'ready.ready', pos=3E2D, ver=513/0 (unversioned), game=ue4.17 <- UObject::EndLoad <- CUmodelApp::ShowPackageUI <- CUmodelApp::ProcessKey:key=6F, down=1 <- VisualizerLoop <- Main:umodel_version=651

Strange error. Give me that uasset please, I'll check.

Title: Re: Dragon Ball FighterZ
Post by: TerryXX on January 28, 2018, 00:22
For now I have not yet been able to extract all the files uasset from the pak, perhaps the error is due to this, as soon as I find a script to extract all the files, I try again.

You may use Tools -> Save packages in UModel for that.

extracted mesh, animations and textures, everything is ok, some bones are not extracted in the right position but is not a big problem, also some textures look weird but also can be edited with a little time and photoshop, thank you Gildor! and thank you all for the quick reply!

Best Regards

It's the way the developers have package out the game that umodel can't see where the material/textures are, you have to manual open up the textures associated with the mesh and export it also (or append with mesh)..

(http://i.imgur.com/Rty901al.png) (https://imgur.com/Rty901a)

Then you manually have to recreate the materials themselfs inside UE4, umodel only gives you the details on how they are setup, you have to do rest yourself.

Hello everybody, sorry for my bad english :
I started modding last week but yesterday i wanted to edit aura and supers colors for Goku SSB (GKB). I found them in the Folder : RED\Content\Chara\GKB\Common\Effect\Particles\GKB_PTC_Low
I found lot of uasset and uexp but i can't extract them with umodel to edit them. However, in the folder PTC_03 there are maybe 10 files in uasset and uexp but i can extract them with umodel into Targa files to edit them.

So i ask you some help because i know it's possible, i saw a video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kw96k5zxygw&t=7s
But I can't edit these files so i'm a little bit angry ^^

Thanks for your futur reply  :)

To Gildor, is umodel cannot extract more than 1 animation uasset? Because I try select couple files, but only extract 1 psa file

if you loaded or selected 10 animations, then that single psa file will have those 10 animations inside it, then you will need to load animation inside blender or what ever 3d modeling package you use.

1) I open GHN_body.uasset  in Costume01/Mesh
(https://i.ibb.co/QcSBzrQ/Capture1.jpg) (https://ibb.co/QcSBzrQ)

2) I Append GHT600cs_Body.uasset in Costume01/Animation/Default/Body

Usually people are missing this: "UModel build 751" video.
However I've reviewed the thread, it seems this game has some custom animations (not confirmed) so others can't see them as well.

Convert it to FBX via Noesis and then remove the mesh shell overtop of the models via 3ds Max or Blender.
