So for someone who wants the high resolution textures you either have to use the tfc extractor or you should make a backup of the live version of the game because there are the 1024x1024 textures still stored in the .upk's itself.

Have you actually been able to extract the new tfc files? They are not the same as before, so I wanna say that they're compressed as well.

@Gildor Thanks. It works now.

@Daredust No your right, i couldn't get it to work. I already contacted someone who's gonna look into it.

Fixed.

Is there any way to make decompressor and extractor tool work with this update?

Thank you in advance

I guess the only issue now is the TFC files. I don't know any means to extract them though.

It looks like that not only the 3d model textures are a problem, but also most of the 2d UI/HUD related files too (they pop out as 1x1 pixel images).

Fixed.

Sorry to bother you Gildor. But is there any chance you can update the extractor and decompressor with the same update you did for umodel with smite?

I'm not sure if you can help with this, but it doesn't hurt to ask I guess. We still haven't found a way to extract the new TFC files, as they are now also compressed. I would assume they use oodle compression for them as well. Now I have extremely limited knowledge concerning compression and also TFC files, so I'm wondering if it's possible to decompress the files to their "original" state. Because it was possible to extract the TFC files before the update by using daemon1's extractor: https://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?t=16033

I here are two files that are likely the same thing. One would be compressed while the other one isn't:
Compressed (Season 7): https://mega.nz/#!Hc9wFQpA!oUVZrem5HYknUSQ7AEyxZW4o-TciAutOfP5Iq4qKMOI
Uncompressed (Season 6): https://mega.nz/#!DokkyYiY!3x5P5WGW-4V6aRU0JZ7laGlgNhmGoOiaHIOmsyjJMmE

I'm sorry about the size of those files, but they were the only ones I thought that might be a match.

Thank you very much for all the work you put into these projects. I never would've started with the modding weren't it for you and your amazingly useful umodel!

I've downloaded CharTexturesHighRes0.tfc, but I don't have any upk file which uses it. So, umodel doesn't even try to load this tfc file.
Even more, I've searched over forum for word "SMITE" and didn't find any mention that textures didn't work before and any third-party tool was required for getting them.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that. The tfc extraction with umodel didn't work before the update either, which is why daemon1's tool was needed. It always said and still says "TFC file "Automated" is missing" when extracting any of SMITE's upk files.

What I can do is give you an upk file that used to use the tfc file you downloaded, before the update: https://mega.nz/#!n1UQwSRb!O7lpFedvHO6rG6sEf757bOtiDgLXpChAC-LI-BoCJCM

And here's an upk file that probably uses the compressed tfc file:https://mega.nz/#!u9MQTaga!w7j2zgUSkoqDX_Rs0n3N2k29m8OfMrk1KU0EssyatLo

Seems the game has very custom TFC system, so umodel won't work with this.

It looks like someone found a way to extract the .tfc files on a different forum, but output the textures only as raw "file".

The data from offset 0x30 is definitely oodle and decompression works.
You can even use quickbms for the job if you prefer. I'm not perfectly familiar with the format but I made a raw decompressor for your tests:
http://aluigi.org/bms/ue_tfc_oodle.bms

Is there any way this solution can be implemented to uModel?
