Mass Effect Legendary Edition
« on: May 15, 2021, 10:56 »

Mass Effect Legendary Edition is out yesterday.

I'm proud to say that I took part working on the project over last 4 months of 2020 - I made changes to the engine for all 3 supported platforms (PC, XB1 and PS4) - mostly worked on engine optimization (does ME LE loads faster than before? Smiley), and fixed some rendering issues.

Update 30.05.2021

The game is supported in UModel build 1548.

There's no needs to specify any options, all of 3 game parts are successfully recognized.

Please specify CookedPCConsole directory as UModel's game path, do not provide  the root of all 3 games, so game files will be mixed.
I also didn't test DLC, but I'd expect them to work.
I've tried just a few files myself, so there could be bugs - bug reports are welcome.

The game is using Oodle compression, however I've integrated it into UModel with previous build, so oo2core_5_win32.dll file is not required anymore.

I've had a few errors when I try and open certain files for ME2 and ME3. ME2 BioA files open fine but when I try to open BioD files I get an AnimSequence error. https://i.imgur.com/rfGcZsU.png

For ME3 every file is giving me a Memory error. https://i.imgur.com/Stj6zSb.png

The Umodel file is in CookedPCConsole directory and it's opened without any specification.

I'm having the same exact issues as fobk ^

Tested with both unspecified and specified settings when attempting to extract from the files, the errors are the same as above as well as this: https://imgur.com/Y61Xv1w

umodel has an error when audio is checked for ME1, unless its not supposed to check for audio:

Audio won't work for ME LE: 1st part is using ISACT, other two - WWise. In all 3 cases, non-standard UE3 formats.

The information in this error message is not enough. I see only the texture name, but not the package file where it's located.
I've found the texture in 8 pcc files in ME3. Tested probably 5 of them, all works fine. Probably you have corrupted game data.

Is there a way to export the animations when extracting the PCC format?

Any problems with animations? Everything should work fine there.

I'm getting 'Can only export animations' when in Viewer mode.

unless I'm unpacking the PCC file wrong, I was having trouble finding a how to.

Did you mean "ERROR: glTF animation could be exported from mesh viewer only."?
The text which you typed here doesn't exist in UModel.
