Hello again Gildor & all,

I'm wondering how to deal with MATs...the model I extracted needs some textures that are evidently contained within a couple MAT files...these files are already programmed to open in Microsoft Office Access for some reason, but when I try to rename the file as a .jpg, it doesn't change.

So I'm wondering how to go about opening these files. Thanks!

These files are used automatically in ActorX importer for 3ds Max. You should not open them and of course renaming will not give you any good result.
