Export fields in this package
« on: November 13, 2011, 18:28 »

Can someone help me with this package format? I'm stuck with exports right now.

In the attachment is the package along with decompressed package data (LZX compression).

[count, offset in package, offset in decompressed file (-138)]
Names: 178, 138, 0
Exports: 6, 17636, 17498
Imports: 27, 16880, 16742

The main problem is that there's something variable in the beginning, between SerialSize and probably ObjectName. Because the first export has SerialSize 32 bytes from the export start and the following exports have 36 bytes.

I think there's no ComponentMap, but I'm not 100% sure.

Thanks for help.

The "offset" term is not applicable to Unreal packages. Most things has variable size here.

OK, forget about offset Smiley I know that Unreal packages have very floating format.

I just need help figuring out these fields, because without being able to read exports, these packages are pretty much useless...

Original UE3 has nothing new in the export table for a very long time (I think since 2007).
Also, neither Mass Effect 1 nor 2 has changes in the export table in comparison to the UE3.
There is only one change in UE3: ComponentMap were dropped since version 543.
