I tried to extract the swf files from GUI_PC_Honors.upk and GUI_SF_Achievement.upk, but UE Viewer can't do it, even if I use the "-3rdparty" option. Why and is there some other way to do it?

Umodel can export only ScaleForm objects in unmodified format. Probably Mass Effect uses some modifications in this area.

Hm, that's too bad I guess. Thanks for the answer anyway.

Did you got a crash when trying to extract data from GUI_PC_Honors.upk file? I have no Mass Effect files so I cannot check this by myself. Can you post some GUI files, plus GFxUI.pcc file?

The program isn't crashing, it just says "Specified package(s) has no supported objects".
I uploaded some files here:
http://www.mediafire.com/?6z5pfcyxpn68g8u
But I couldn't find the GFxUI.pcc or any other pcc files for that matter, just an ini for the UI files. I also don't know if there really is a swf file integrated or compressed in the upks, but the file's last line suggests it.

The main reason I'm interested in these files is because I want to extract the achievement images for the wiki. These images doesn't seem to be simple textures, because then I would've had no problem extracting them with your program or filter them with texmod.

If you could help me any further on this matter, I would be really grateful, but I don't want to waste your time. Thanks. Smiley

I've checked GUI files. What you can do:
1) extract GUI files using "Unreal package extractor"
2) rename .BioSWF file to .SWF
3) cut first 32 bytes (so file would start with signature "CWS")
4) open resulting file in SWF player; I've used ScaleForm player from the UDK, it showed me error about missing swf files with fonts (could be found in other packages I think), but at least it was tried to load extracted file

Yes, I could extract the swf file and extract the content of the swf file itself without problems.
