Search for the word "biped" on this forum, you'll find some information.

from what i read on the forum i need to bring it in motion builder and characterize and then remap but i am having a hard time characterizing bone as they are not in t-pose. Is there any way to make them into t-pose using actor-x or other method than manually doing all the bones

Most every character I've ever seen comes with a t-stance, or something very close to it, which makes lining it up in MB a 2-minute job. So export just the t-pose, and line it up in MB, then save the adjusted skeleton as a pose. Then all you need do is load up any new anim, then apply the pose, then characterise.
