md5mesh Export is working ?

Red it in another thread that the  "-md5" option should not be used. Is this true ?

I want to make a collada version out of it and the md5mesh file looks easy to convert to collada. (Collada - *.dae - can be imported into blender and many other programs). What are the problems with it ?

md5mesh/md5anim export is obsolete but it will work untile the end of the umodel's days. psk/psa export has much more functions.
