Hi there,

sorry for beating a dead horse. I remember the issue i'm having with being discussed before, but this is the only thread i've found about the game and i didn't find the solution, so here i go:

I can open (and extract) about 90% of the game files with the -PLA argument.
There are, however, some single files that give me an error:

Quote
Trying to allocate 644274604 bytes
appMalloc:size=644274604 <- FArray::Empty:1234810475 x 4 <- TArray::SerializeSimple <- TRawArray<< <- FStaticLODModel3<< <- TArray::Serialize:0/1 <- USkeletalMesh3::Serialize <- LoadObject:SkeletalMesh3'wpa_bpd_0008_SF.wpa_bpd_0008', pos=1B317, ver=901/0, game=8035 <- UObject::EndLoad <- LoadWholePackage:wpa_bpd_0008_SF <- UIMenuItem::HandleCommand <- UIMenuItem::HandleCommand <- CUmodelApp::WndProc <- VisualizerLoop <- Main:umodel_version=290

When opened with umodel GUI it says:
Quote
Loading package: wpa_bpd_0008_SF.upk Ver: 901/0 Engine: 9668 Names: 103 Exports: 15 Imports: 17 Game: 8035
Loading MaterialInstanceConstant wp_pkm_rec from package wpa_bpd_0008_SF.upk
check for GUNCUBE_Tex_metal in wpa_bpd_0008_SF
WARNING: Import(PLAWeaponBase.GUNCUBE_Tex_metal) was not found
check for wp_mat_base in wpa_bpd_0008_SF
WARNING: Import(PLAWeaponBase.wp_mat_base) was not found
Loading MaterialInstanceConstant wp_pkm_rec_Inside from package wpa_bpd_0008_SF.upk
check for wp_mat_base_noCamou in wpa_bpd_0008_SF
WARNING: Import(PLAWeaponBase.wp_mat_base_noCamou) was not found
Loading SkeletalMesh3 wpa_bpd_0008 from package wpa_bpd_0008_SF.upk
WARNING: ArrayProperty "USkeletalMesh3::ClothingAssets" was not found
WARNING: BoolProperty "FSkeletalMeshLODInfo::bDisableCompressions" was not found
WARNING: BoolProperty "FSkeletalMeshLODInfo::bHasBeenSimplified" was not found

I think someone considered the files being encrypted, but that would be extremely odd, since it's really just a handfull of files, the majority works without flaw.
For example, the weapon parts are each stored individually, most of the "Uzi" parts work, like the receiver, magazine and wooden stock. But the skeletal stock doesn't, why would they encrypt just this one piece and leave the rest unencrypted?
I can provide a small "non-functioning" upk if needed.

EDIT: Also, just a "general" question, does anyone know where i can get an early build of the game? There were a lot of assets that are missing from the (current) version i have.

That'd be great.

Here you go:

http://www.file-upload.net/download-9886271/wpa_bpd_0008_SF.upk.html

It's the very file from the example, i chose it because it's rather small.

I've just uploaded new umodel version where I attempted to fix this issue. I didn't have PLA exe file, so I tried to guess what's wrong with data, so there still could be problems. If you could test umodel with all data files and tell me whether it works well or problems still exists - that'd be great.

I've gone through all the files i remembered that didn't work previously, all of them do work now.
Marvellous work, thank you very much for your efforts. Have some don.

Still requires the -PLA argument, just a reminder for others who want to try it out.
