Your first error message was for start without "-game=pla", the second one is correct.
By the way, I don't have any possibility to check the file right now and in the nearest future due to some problems. Is it possible that you have damaged up file? Did it work with older version of umodel?

Yes, like i said, this is exactly previously observed with umodedel+umodedelGUI (29 December, 2012, when PLA appeared first), everything worked properly (mesh, stat, tex(!)),
Your first error message was for start without "-game=pla"
tag was definitely written at gui. Now I cant open/extract tex.
P.S./Offtop
You can add to Compatibility Table- Blackwater (x360,2011) everything (mesh, stat, tex) works well.

I get the same error message with PLA 1.8 (-game=pla was in the gui syntax). Does this mean the client was updated?
