Injustice 2 Steam Edition
« on: November 07, 2017, 07:54 »

The public beta arrived today, so I'm testing some files tomorrow and also, if it's needed, I can upload some files.

Edit:

Here's wonderwoman files:

My notes / observations.
1. Packages looks like they have something very custom inside. Encryption, custom compression, I don't know. Data appears like it was compressed (or encrypted) with something different from what UE3 usually used.
2. It also appears that executable has some protection system inside, but I can't be sure - file is openable in disassembler almost without problems. Disassembler says something about destroyed parts of the executable, so I still think that protection is here.
3. Executable file is huge (190Mb). This is very untypical, so I suppose again - this is some protection system which tries to obfuscate code as much as possible.
4. If I'd suppose that file is not protected, anyway - I can't find any "key places" which I usually use to begin reverse engineering. Probably it is really protected. It doesn't look like a "usual" Unreal engine executable file inside.
5. Taking into account experience with older MK/Injustice game series, the game engine was customized a lot, so supporting file format without doing reverse engineering on code side is impossible. I mean - with this executable it is not possible.

So, at the moment I'd state that the game is unsupported. Use models from mobile game version, it is fully supported, even with animations.

I see on the Russian forum id-daemon has posted an extracted Batman head with skeleton. For those who don't know who id-daemon is, he's the hottest game engine format/3d model extracting wizard of this year. Every game he touched he cracked the model format and I wouldn't be surprised if he already has compiled an extraction tool before Injustice2 PC gets released.

The thing is the files can decrypt with bms script and separated the header and the data. So, I would like to know how to work with the decrypted data file like extract or something to get some textures files or model data?

I have my custom tools in progress, they are far from over. But I think, I might upload primitive .tfc extractor and .dds converter on xentax in a day or so.

Jesus that detail is insane!!!

Are you able to access the DLC characters as well?

What about their alternate armour parts, are these easily accessible?

Every character available I think, if you mean Celebrimbor and Alma then yes. Parts are accessible too, on picture you could notice every part for blue beetle. Or on this picture too, all parts for this charater, nevermind missing textures I just didn't convert them for her (also I hid one glasses, to show face more).

Damn they really do look great, let us know when you have uploaded your script, do we need anything program wise to get it to work?

@zaramot_xentax

I know this is asking a lot,
but will your "custom tools" have animation support?

Thanks :D
