First i'm sorry for my english

I'd like to know if there will be an actorX importer for maya.
Actualy, I work with Maya 2010 and I have to import skeletalmesh and animation from 3dsmax using .FBX format wich is a little "bugued".
I know it's hard to make an importer but i ask it just in case
thx

To be correct, I had no plans to create Max plugins too, but I did it because I've tired from multiple "bug reports" and "feature requests".

P.S. it whould be better to create this topic in "miscellaneous", not in "l2tool" section Wink
I post here because .FBX bugs are only on the animations, so the actorximporter would be usefull only for L2tool users

Is there any MEL script for Maya which can load mesh and animations?
I can use it as prototype for making Actor X Importer for Maya ... (at least I can try)

What is the main sense of problem ? What do you mean saying - "little Bugged" ?

Sorry to bump and old thread, but seemed silly to start another one.

How big a donation would you expect to make an importer for Maya?? Tongue

To pay a 2 weeks of full time work of programmer. This would be not a donation - it looks more like salary.
Sorry, this task is too complex to perform it in a free time - in this case I'lll have to waste a few months of my free time to make "something working".

Yeah it's fair enough.  Still, just had to show there was still interest. I'd use it mainly for Static Meshes and that's possible going from Umodel>Max>Maya anyway.. I'm grateful you have the 3DX max importer working so well.
