Change default path to game files
« on: January 06, 2018, 02:25 »

Hi there, I'm wondering if it's possible to change the default "path to game files" when launching the UModel GUI. Right now it always defaults to the location of the .exe, and I'd like for it to default to the game I'm currently working on.

Is there a registry key or file I can edit that will allow me to change this?

Command line. You can make a shortcut specifying a -path="..." option. You may see example here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSZaX0YQ2qg (at the very beginning of the video I'm showing the command line of shortcut in console window).

Right Click on umodel.exe and create a shortcut, on the target line add in the following after "

 -Path=

Then add where the games pak files installed to, here I added where PUBG pak files are located for example....

Example:
Quote
D:\UModel\umodel.exe -PATH="C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\PUBG\TslGame\Content\Paks"

Then use the shortcut exe to load straight into the files, add it to the taskbar for added convenience.
