Extracting icons from a Chinese MOBA game
« on: July 10, 2018, 12:32 »

Hi, I'm trying to extract some icons from a Chinese MOBA game because I am trying to make a wikipedia page for it. After a few hours of reading, it led me to use Umodel which was "perfect" according to others. However when I tried to do anything to the  upk icon file of the game, it gives me this image.

Do you mind telling me what's happening? Thank you.

UModel tries to load data as for pure Unreal Engine 3, and it fails.
What game is that?

It's a Chinese game called Fantasy All Stars who uses .upk for its game files

Searching over forum with the game name shows nothing, so I think the game is simply unsupported.

Alright, that makes sense. Thank you for the time.

According this topic (https://zenhax.com/viewtopic.php?t=3531), UPK files are compressed.
Try to ask someone on this site to help decompress these files, then you can use Umodel.

All upk files are compressed. The error from 1st message appears rather as customized upk format.
