Data-UASSET back to text - how to?
« on: August 30, 2018, 22:56 »

Sorry that I now open the next topic, but I collected these questions in the time I used UModel and now I want to ask them  Wink

Does anybody know how to get UASSETs containing e. g. Data or a C++-Class readable?
Will UModel support this in the future? Or is it possible without/with other software?

When I open the UASSET with a hex editor I can read some lines, but I can't change them (otherwise the game says "Corrupt data found"). I can't find out which type of asset it is neither.

UModel can't make uasset "readable", and it can't change them.

Thanks!

But is there no other possibility to change those files?

You'll want to look at Unreal SDK Generators though Epic have put some tight restraints on using them (all removed from Github) at less with their Fortnite game.

"SDK Generators" does nothing but embedding cheating dlls into games. Nothing dealing with data formats.
