I'm wondering if someone has come across this before.

I opened up Jinn or Kait in umodel using override option and putting UE4 and GOW4 and opened packages jinn and kaitoutsider.
When they are opened their bodies are white with a few colours but their faces have the correct textures.

When I export the meshes the diffuse textures that come with the mesh are all black/transparent if I remember correctly.

If you load the diffuse texture into blender and untick alpha channel they turn completely black, so I think I may need to do something extra here?

Is there a reason why Umodel doesn't put textures on the models, have I done something wrong.

I can upload images when I get home for a better idea.

Does model appears good in viewer? Is that just exported model problem, or viewer's too?

The model in the viewer has white textures except for the face.

Gears 4 has custom material system. When it is used, umodel is not getting texture mapping at all.

ah, I see. Thank you very much for the quick response, that solves that mystery.

As for Gears 4 Textures, When I export the model the Diffuse textures are transparent or black. Do I need to edit these in a DDS viewer?

Check the source folder with each of the character, they use masks for different sets of textures on them.

Is this what the textures meant to look like, I can't seem to export it. Is there a way to export them?

This is a "default texture", placeholder which is shown when there's nothing else to map on surface.
