Game is UE4.23, and is in alpha stages. the files aren't encrypted (yet).
currently can't open any models, textures or materials, they cause umodel to crash.

I've been told that static meshes works.

You can open static meshes if you turn off texture reading. On version 4.23.

Link for the future (for compatibility table):
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postal_4:_No_Regerts
The game is "TBA" so it's not worth adding it now.

Just some info - current game build is using 4.25, while people are trying to open it with 4.26 or any other unrelated version. All works fine here - including meshes, textures and animations - with the latest umodel (1387 at the moment).

It seems at the moment nothing can be opened at all. The properties say that it is 4.26, I tried 4.25 and without textures - the same thing.  Huh? I have a licensed game on steam.

@mark2580: I suppose you've tried 4.26 as well, because already a year has passed since my previous post and they could start to use actual 4.26 engine, right? Either way, you need to provide some samples of non-working meshes for better understanding. You can extract them as-is via "save packages" option in umodel.

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread! Trying to extract voice lines from the most recent version of the game and getting this error when i do so:

Package "Corey_Dude_Dialogue_Friday/End_Game/Apocalypse_and_Boss_Phone_Call_Cutscene/CoreyDude_Yello_1.uasset": wrong name index 1149415485
UnPackage::SerializeFName: pos=000005C2 <- TArray::Serialize: 0/1348112260 <- USoundWave::Serialize <- LoadObject: SoundWave'CoreyDude_Yello_1.CoreyDude_Yello_1', pos=5C2, ver=518/0 (unversioned), game=ue4.25 <- UObject::EndLoad <- LoadWholePackage: Corey_Dude_Dialogue_Friday/End_Game/Apocalypse_and_Boss_Phone_Call_Cutscene/CoreyDude_Yello_1.uasset <- ExportPackages <- CUmodelApp::ShowPackageUI <- Main: umodel_build=1590

was previously running into the bad allocation error but used the override game detection to unreal 4.25 and now getting the wrong name index error. any help would be greatly appreciated, i am not great at this stuff. thanks <3

@shibe_lord: umodel doesn't support audio formats used in modern games, it's better to take a look at other tools like fmodel. Also I'm not sure which UE version current game build is using, since nobody provided samples from recent version so far.
