UE 4.23 Export Failure
« on: October 20, 2019, 20:33 »

Hello, I am getting the following error when I'm exporting animations:
Code:
assertion failed: Ar.Tell() == SkipOffset

UTexture2D::Serialize4 <- UTexture2D::Serialize <- LoadObject:Texture2D'UE4_Mannequin__normals.UE4_Mannequin__normals', pos=1C0B, ver=517/0 (unversioned), game=ue4.23 <- UObject::EndLoad <- LoadWholePackage:M_UE4Man_Body <- ExportPackages <- UIMenuItem::HandleCommand <- UIMenu::Popup <- UIBaseDialog::WndProc <- UIBaseDialog::CustomMessageLoop <- UIBaseDialog::ShowDialog:modal=1, title="Choose a package to open" <- CUmodelApp::ShowPackageUI <- Main:umodel_build=1119

And the following error on skeletal meshes:
Code:
Memory: bad allocation size -1711236632 bytes
appMalloc:size=-1711236632 (total=4 Mbytes) <- FArray::Empty:322966333 x 8 <- TArray::Serialize:0/0 <- TArray::Serialize:0/65280 <- FSkinWeightProfilesData<< <- FStaticLODModel4::SerializeStreamedData <- FStaticLODModel4::SerializeRenderItem <- TArray::Serialize:1/4 <- USkeletalMesh4::Serialize <- LoadObject:SkeletalMesh4'SK_FPGun.SK_FPGun', pos=81F7D, ver=517/0 (unversioned), game=ue4.23 <- UObject::EndLoad <- LoadWholePackage:SK_FPGun <- ExportPackages <- CUmodelApp::ShowPackageUI <- CUmodelApp::ProcessKey:key=6F, down=1 <- VisualizerLoop <- Main:umodel_build=1119

Sound and Static Meshes work but these don't. I am using the basic FPS template included with UE. Any help pointers will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Maestro.

Hi,
I've fixed crash with Texture2D. For testing I've installed UE4.23 and ShoterGame. However I wasn't able to get crash with SkeletalMesh any object. Could you provide me a sample file please?

Thanks for getting back to me,

I've uploaded the build to Mega and removed the encryption key for your convenience. You can download it by visiting the following link:

https://mega.nz/#!b48XlCxB!LiTCCDRHHVa3b3KPPJoAbSB0xC2VuquaMubtCbWnY3M

The rar file is only 394mb, so it is not too bad to download it all. However, if you only want the skeletal meshes, here they are:

SK_Mannequin_Arms: https://mega.nz/#!XxtXRC6I!WFZYmDs2ANnMatbkbg3U9ETw4Y1E-U0YtXWfHG5wPmk

The error message for SK_Mannequin_Arms is:
Code:
Serializing behind stopper (2640+500000 > 186FE4)
FFileReader::Serialize:File=SK_Mannequin_Arms.uexp <- TArray::SerializeSimple <- FStaticLODModel4::SerializeRenderItem <- TArray::Serialize:1/4 <- USkeletalMesh4::Serialize <- LoadObject:SkeletalMesh4'SK_Mannequin_Arms.SK_Mannequin_Arms', pos=361B, ver=517/0 (unversioned), game=ue4.23 <- UObject::EndLoad <- LoadWholePackage:SK_Mannequin_Arms <- CUmodelApp::ShowPackageUI <- Main:umodel_build=1119

SK_FPGun: https://mega.nz/#!fw0zASYa!a0wKq1PiJuL7m7s5pj96dpLU7iHztBirBttQt3yOUIg

The error message for SK_FPGun is:
Code:
Memory: bad allocation size -1711236632 bytes
appMalloc:size=-1711236632 (total=4 Mbytes) <- FArray::Empty:322966333 x 8 <- TArray::Serialize:0/0 <- TArray::Serialize:0/65280 <- FSkinWeightProfilesData<< <- FStaticLODModel4::SerializeStreamedData <- FStaticLODModel4::SerializeRenderItem <- TArray::Serialize:1/4 <- USkeletalMesh4::Serialize <- LoadObject:SkeletalMesh4'SK_FPGun.SK_FPGun', pos=81F7D, ver=517/0 (unversioned), game=ue4.23 <- UObject::EndLoad <- LoadWholePackage:SK_FPGun <- ExportPackages <- CUmodelApp::ShowPackageUI <- CUmodelApp::ProcessKey:key=6F, down=1 <- VisualizerLoop <- Main:umodel_build=1119

If UE Viewer asks the engine version is 4.23. Do not be afraid to contact me for more details.

Thanks,
Maestro.
