With recent build I've made an attempt to partially read
Material graph to obtain information about all
Material parameters. Previously, only
MaterialInstance parameters (overrides) were shown, with no way to understand which default values were used and so on. Also, now you may see if some texture is used for parent material but entirely replaced in child
MaterialInstance.
This information currently available in material outline (material viewer, key 'M'), dump (key 'D') and with exported materials - .props.txt files.
Please note: in UE4.25 Epic Games has removed material information from the cooked materials, so you won't see any changes for this engine.
Later I'll try to use this feature to use this information in better ways, e.g. trying to use better heuristics when trying to render/export materials.
