Hi, im trying to extract the skeletal mesh models from the Star Wars First Assault Tech Beta, but when i try umodel gives me this error:

appMalloc:size=1429406512 <- FArray::Empty:1163079731 x 16 <- TArray::Serialize:0/0 <- FStaticLODModel3<< <- TArray::Serialize:0/160 <- USkeletalMesh3::Serialize <- LoadObject:SkeletalMesh3'TriggerGame.amo_crates', pos=163BD83, ver=852/8, game=8000 <- UObject::EndLoad <- LoadWholePackage:TriggerGame <- Main:umodel_version=305

Can anyone help me with this?

This is extremely old UModel build. Right now build number comes closer to 1500. You have build 305.

ok i downloaded the latest version on this site: https://www.gildor.org/en/projects/umodel#files
still got the same error:

appMalloc: size=1429406512 (total=14 Mbytes) <- FArray::Empty: 1163079731 x 16 <- TArray::Serialize: 0/0 <- FStaticLODModel3<< <- TArray::Serialize: 0/160 <- USkeletalMesh3::Serialize <- LoadObject: SkeletalMesh3'TriggerGame.amo_crates', pos=163BD83, ver=852/8, game=ue3 <- UObject::EndLoad <- LoadWholePackage: TriggerGame.xxx <- ExportPackages <- CUmodelApp::ShowPackageUI <- Main: umodel_build=1473

I know its been done before i do not know what i am doing wrong.

The game seems won't work then. I've searched for "First Assault" and found only one topic on this forum, about Star Wars game
https://www.gildor.org/smf/index.php/topic,3231.0.html

Are you talking about it?

Yes i have seen that, and that topic brought me to the Xentax forums where the Xentax forums promptly brought me here, you can even see the convo i had with daemon1 at the bottom, They were from 2017 so maybe if it is possible to download the latest version as of April 29th 2017? Its possible some compatibility broke after 3 years would you happen to have a link to older versions?

@Chaotic1870: You're trying to export (convert) meshes instead of extracting (dumping) them. Those are different things and two different options in umodel. You should extract them with umodel and then convert with daemon1 tools to proper meshes.

According to the FAQ the extracting tool is supposed to give me a whole folder of many different files, instead it just gives me a copy of that file (in this instance TriggerGame.xxx) Im so close to figuring this out but i cant figure out what i need to do to get this right.
