This error shows up when I try to export the second new outfit of Lara Croft (For instance, the "SKM_S43_Torso011.uasset" file). I'm using the newest build and it's set to "UE5/Dead By Daylight (5.4").

@MrUncleBingo: Apparently you're trying to open older game version on 5.2 engine with 5.4 override. You can check actual engine version in shipping.exe properties, like for most UE games. The asset mentioned in the error message works fine for me, tested on latest EGS version and 5.4 override.

This is what shows when I look at the shipping.exe properties. Apparently it's not an older game version, since it's 5.4 (or 5.4.4). Still, I used the 5.4 override and it still won't extract because the same error keeps showing.

@MrUncleBingo: Since I can't reproduce the issue on my copy, which is also from EGS, I can only guess that it's either your installation is corrupted or you have some mods / other related things installed, which are not compatible with existing override option. Try to perform clean installation from scratch - if it will not work, I can't help.

It's weird because I even tried opening other models with the 5.4 override and they all open and export just fine, is that model only. Maybe the update's been corrupted, as you say, so I'm gonna try reinstalling the thing. Thanks for replying tho!

all the campers - main characters - completely missing from the list of 5.4 (latest) version. I assume they are locked now somehow. they were in 5.2 version tho

Is there a way to get them still?

@Tosyk: Apparently they've changed assets layout, now most characters (including campers) are stored under Plugins/DBDCharacters. I don't remember if it should be like that, but from brief look file tree is constructed properly and dependencies are resolved properly as well (considering current limitations). Anyway, if you're not sure where to find particular assets, it's always recommended to perform full scan and then sort assets in flat view mode by size and required type - or if you know asset name, just switch to flat view and use name filter. After single-clicking on an asset in flat view (without opening it) you can switch back to file tree and it will expand up to that asset, it usually helps to find folders with similar content.

thanks for looking into that, @spiritovod!

Seems like they have completely changed the naming too. I guess, it doesn't make sense to have initial character names anymore.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

I'm trying to access the DBD files after the latest updates.
Is the game's dedicated DBD version still functional? Currently, shipping.exe indicates version 5.6, so I imagine that the two dedicated versions, 5.4 and 5.2 (DBD), may no longer work (in my case, the files are detected, but the same error message always appears when opening any mesh or texture). I might be doing something wrong when opening the files, but I don't know what.

@Leonaura: I've added override for latest game version on 5.6 to the updated build. From brief look everything seems to work, in case of issues feel free to report them as well.

It's worth to note that it's possible to hide mesh sections with no real material applied (Ctrl+M) for better preview in some cases in latest builds. Also some topics for games, which have switched to UE5 for a long time already, are now moved to respective forum section.

I downloaded the new build with the new override, and you're right, it's working perfectly now. I'll keep an eye on it anyway, but I don't think it'll cause any major problems  Cheesy

Oh, and you really helped me out with the CTRL+M thing.

Thanks a lot!  smiley
