How to load specific animations?
« on: August 10, 2023, 23:32 »

I apologise if this is a stupid question; I did try to search, but I'm an amateur here so I may not have hit on the right keyword.

I'm looking at the files for the game Code Vein, which is listed as fully supported in the compatibility table. The only option UE Viewer provides for loading animations is searching with Ctrl-A, which will load every animation for the currently-loaded skeleton. Since many models in Code Vein use the same basic skeleton, this results in over eight thousand animations loaded, of which maybe fifty are relevant to the currently-loaded model. Is there a way to load individual animations by selecting them in a file viewer, similar to the process for loading models?

@Ketsuban: Yes, you can use append option in context menu for adding any selected assets/folders to currently loaded set (simple case is when you open skeletal mesh and then "append" selected animations to it). I'd recommend to view some tutorials about general umodel usage, starting from the one at tutorials section
