Wuthering Waves wwise audio can't be extracted/exported
« on: August 27, 2024, 23:10 »

I tried to export the Wwise audio files of Wuthering Waves, but it doesn't export anything at all. I thought it's cause I need to use Quickbms with Unreal Tournament 4, but the tournament bms file doesn't work too (it says "Error: incomplete input file -10"). I saw a comment from a YouTube tutorial about extracting UE4 audio saying that you can just open the pak files from UEViewer without Quickbms. But it doesn't work.

I tried using FModel too, and it could only export the uasset file. I can't find a way to get the audio files or pck/bnk.

What do I do?

@Weixin7383: umodel doesn't support third-party audio formats like wwise, criware or fmod. If I remember correctly, Wuthering Waves is using wwise solution, which usually comes in wem/bnk files or native UE assets. Fmodel should support them to some extent, but you can also extract non-native assets (wem/bnk) and then use something like vgmstream (or foobar + vgmstream plugin) to play and convert them. If you're using quickbms scripts for extraction, you can address related issues to this topic.
