This file below has been exported by many people using Umodel older versions. Now any of the ME2 files I try to export crashes before i get any meshes or textures

I'm not sure, but is it really Mass Effect 2 files? I supposed CookedPCConsole was not appeared at the time that game exists. Probably you've mixed files from the different games here.

is from ME2 on steam. I bought it last month so maybe bioware updated the files ?

Hmm ... Non-steam version had CookedPC directory. Probably they updated the engine for the Steam release of the game? By the way, I cannot test this by myself - I don't want to by Mass Effect 2 on the Steam. Try to obtain ordinary (older) version of the game.

I've watched the log you've attached to the first message. You're definitely mixed the game files!
You have the following files:
Code:
BioH_Assassin_00.pcc - ME2
CookedPCConsole/BIOG_Humanoid_MASTER_MTR_R.pcc - ME3
CookedPCConsole/Startup.pcc - ME3
CookedPCConsole/BIOG_HMM_HED_PROMorph.pcc - ME3

Note: 1st file is from Mass Effect 2 and placed outside of CookedPCConsole directory, other files are from ME3. Umodel is crashed when

Reading DRL_HGR_LGTa_THN_DIFF mip level 0 (512x512) from CookedPCConsole/Textures.tfc
DRL_HGR_LGTa_THN_DIFF is taken from BioH_Assassin_00.pcc (ME2) but trying to use TFC file from the third game. So you're mixing the files!

I read somewhere to copy the file i wanted to extract out of the game directory. I'm going to try to do it all from the game path then

PS: Worked !!!

PS2: Now I need to find a way to get it into blender :/
