It seems that upgrading Max 2010 to SP2 broke the importer.  Shocked

Really that's a strange issue. I had similar issue before during import process (not startup) and I've fixed that - this was a bug in Max itself. There was unstable crash on some PCs. But I see nothing that could cause error here. Try to remove ActorXImporter.ini file, perhaps this could help.

Strange. I ran the script with the all files option and it worked. Strange bugs, very strange.

3ds Max appears to be not very stable with scripts. Or perhaps some plugins makes it unstable.
