Hi all,

I need help to extract all images from few files from the game Injustice gods amongs us.

I ve found a file called ui_ps_vs_jpegs.XXX
With umodel impossible to extract DDS files.

SO i ve tried with Extract and decompress tools Unreal then it dumps all the files but the pictures are in three formats :
-.TextBuffer
-.TextureJPEG
-.BinaryBlobJPEG

It seems there are presents for Left and Right picture, also there are color and alpha Binaryblobjpeg

But it seems its different than with MK9 files.

Same things with gallery of the game.

I tried to download MKKEJpgFix.exe but impossible to find it.

How could i extract all pictures from those files?

And how to do with Binaryblogjpeg, textureJPEG, etc...?

Rename it don't work, i ve already tried.

I missed one thing, i"ve got another prob, all Coalesced files are crypted and it seems the crypt method is different than MK9.
I ve tried the MK9 tool for unpack these files but it doesn't work.

Here is a link for download a zip file which contain 3 coalesced files.

Have you tried -dds command?(see picture)

Yes but as i said, this commande doesn't work on GalleryArt1.XXX to Gallery Art15.xxx and on ui_ps_vs_jpegs.xxx too.

I've tried this command : umodel -nomesh -noanim -dds -export GalleryArt1.xxx

But not compatible.

Sorry Gildor but impossible to find this signature FF D8 FF E0 00 10 4A 46 49 46 = " ╪ р ►JFIF into the BinaryBlobJPEG files with Hex editor...

I ve also said that file doesn't open even with rename BinaryblobJPEG 's file into Jpeg.

Ok i found the true way.

First -drag and drop a file like GalleryArt1.xxx or another file containing TEXTUREJPEG, Binaryblobjpeg etc... on "Extract.exe"

Second - In the folder created, rename ALL files in .BinaryBlobJpeg to Jpeg

Third -Open the renamed file with Photoshop ONLY!

Photoshop is the only picture's viewer which can open this form of jpeg.

Fourth - Save the file opened into photoshop in PNG or other picture format.


Now i ve got only one thing.

How to decrypt the coalesced files? (xbox 360 files)

I ve tried with the MK9 tool but it doesn't decrypt the injustice's coalesced.ini or .fra or .eng at all.

Hello. I was interested in trying this myself. I've been looking at this for months & only stumbled across this forum as of recently.

Any updates on this? Could this work in 2024 on PC? Is there anything changed with the umodel program as of now that I'd need to adjust in order to correct this method?
