Hi master gildor
There is a package in borderlans 2 named startup.upk that is fully compressed and when I decompress it using your tool and replace it the game crashes. Is there any way to make the game read the uncompressed startup.upk package?
Thanks

Hi,
Try to remove corresponding ".uncompressed_size" file if one exists.

I deleted the ".uncompressed_size". Game now recognizes the uncompressed package but crashes if you change even a byte in it.
Is there any solution for that?

There are 2 possible reasons for crash
1) you've damaged package
2) game has protection from modifications

In 2nd case you should disable protection code in game executable, or probably update some checksums somewhere to reflect your changes in data files.

The package is not damaged.
I think it's the second one.
Thanks for your time.
