In this topic I will post news about changes on the main site, which may be unnoticeable without notification.

  • added "downloads" section
  • added umodel tutorials page (maintained by esr911, work in progress)
  • also after releasing new renderer I began to update screenshots for UE3 games Smiley IMHO new shots look much better than old. Look at GOW, UT3, Batman ...

I've decided to rename "donators" group to "sponsors". I think it sounds better Smiley
Also I've added groups "Silver Sponsors" (for people contributed 100 USD and more) and "Gold Sponsors" (at least 500 USD, this group is empty now, made it "just in case" Smiley) ...

I have changed download urls for all files from this site. Old urls will not function.
If you have troubles when downloading some file - try to refresh your page (F5) then try again. If link is broken anyway - report a problem here.

Please do not post direct links to the files hosted on this site from other sites/forums, these links may became dead some time.

I have found a few tutorials for umodel in the net, but no one of them shows umodel as a viewer, all of them are targetted to exporter. Even more - most of these tutorials has common mistakes made by "umodel beginners" like copying game files into directory with umodel etc. So I decided to make my own set of tutorials. That's the first one - "Unreal Model Viewer Basics" shows umodel as a viewer. I'm waiting for some feedback from users to continue.

One of the umodel users have donated 1000$ (thank you so much, Ylli!), so I've made another one sponsors group: "Platinum Sponsors".

I've seen a few umodel tutorials in the Web. Unfortunately all them have common problems made due to misunderstanding of key umodel and ActorX Importer features. So I've decided to record a quick sample of exporting a mesh from UT3 and importing it with texturing and animations into 3ds Max.
