Whenever I attempt to open GOWJ files it crashes only after viewing a few files.
I have umodel set to GOWJ mode. While this prevents it from crashing on load it still crashes constantly. Is there a way to fix this?

I can't say you anything particular before you'll show me an error message.

Please check with Task Manager that memory is not overflowed when you're opening this package. May be UModel's memory consumption is too high (> 2Gb). This shouldn't happen, but check this just in case.

Are you opening just this package, or may be all game packages at once?

Also, could you please provide me files which caused this crash? (for faster solution, please first verify first if these files will cause the same crash too when ISOLATED from other files)

Memory is not overflowing.
I have only opened 1 file at a time.
I tried separating the files but the problem persists.
I have tried this with geargame.xxx but every single file crashes. I had this problem with gears 2 aswell, but only geargame crashed there.

So any progress?
I'm not in a hurry, just got curious since you haven't said anything.

Hi,
Sorry for silence. I've checked this file and also got the crash. However I wasn't able to spend even an hour for UModel last week (or more than a week), just was too busy with my job. This crash is in my "next thing to do" list, as a "red" message on desktop Smiley I'll fix it in a first day when I'll have a free time.

Thanks for your answer, I was just curious why you didn't say anything before.
No hurries with the file, I am willing to wait as long as it is needed.

I have so much work recently, which in combination with family makes my mind go crazy. I can forget about nearly anything. One of my projects will be shown on NAB show (I have no idea what it is), it should happen soon - that's why so hurry, but this is the date after which I'll have some relax with my work.

Example of full error message:
Code:
ERROR: assertion failed: Ar.Tell() == pos

UMeshAnimation::SerializeLineageMoves <- UMeshAnimation.Serialize <- LoadObject:MeshAnimation'HumanMaleA.BipedMaleA', pos=DE4, ver=126/29, game=l2 <- UObject::EndLoad <- Main:umodel_version=638

In your case, the message is 'stripped', only 2nd part is here:
Code:
UMeshAnimation::SerializeLineageMoves <- UMeshAnimation.Serialize <- LoadObject:MeshAnimation'HumanMaleA.BipedMaleA', pos=DE4, ver=126/29, game=l2 <- UObject::EndLoad <- Main:umodel_version=638
