Hi guys! Please tell me how to merge head and body model in this game? I tried the standard way,but head model is still on the "floor".

You need to rename the bones of the head to suit the neck. Then it will automatically match up and connect in 3ds Max.

@Gildor: This error comes up seemingly only with certain types of foliage when extracting Statics from this game. I'm not sure if this has been a problem in the past, but this is the error I got...

I've uploaded updated UModel which will hopefully print a more detailed error message, just to understand what could be wrong.

Thanks man! I'll take a look now. I tried changing versions of Unreal 4, which has occasionally worked in the past, but to no avail. Will report back soon!

So, it's just like I supposed ... Let me do some technical explanation.
Static mesh has a large block of mesh data, without material information. Then SpeedTree block follows. And then materials go. Actually, having materials at end is the only reason why UModel reads SpeedTree data. As you say, the problem happens with foliage, so I think the problem is really because of custom SpeedTree block.

So it's to do with how the game loads its foliage, not necessarily the engine itself, and that makes it a strain on umodel to read?
(forgive me, I'm not great with technical stuffs, I just use the models and set ups as reference and am good at following instructions!)

I think there's something custom with SpeedTree data, what makes UModel crashing. I'd prefer not to do any work on that.

Hello. I am wanting to extract models and meshes from state of decay 2 and put them on models in Friday the 13th. Is that possible in umodel and Uviewer? (Yes, i already have opened the .pak) If so can someone please explain the process? thanks so much !

Hello, i had this friend last year who made a custom texture in photoshop and imported it into the game using umodel. I no longer have contact with him, i was wondering how this is done? thanks
