Request Blender Importer?

Hi all,

I know I'm going way out on a limb here and I'm not sure if this hasn't even been requested already but,

Can Gildor or someone else possibly create a PSK/PSA importer for blender.

The new blender is really becoming a powerful 3d app and it would probably be my only request.

I know this may be way asking way too much but, I thought I'd give it a shot anyway Smiley

I will not do this. It is not possible to support all modeling software by myself.

Thanks for the quick reply , I did see that page you suggested but, it only supports an exporter and only older version of blender I believe.

I understand that you're just one individual and time, workload, etc. can be a big factor, but if anything changes or if there is a possible incentive for you could you please let me know? Wink

I missed that part.

Too bad it only supports mesh without armature and animation.

It looks like that project is under development. 2.48 version is dated 2010 Feb 21, 2.50 version is Mar 02. I think you should check for a new versions later Smiley

Yes it looks promising Smiley

I just tested the Blender250ImportUnrealPsk20100302svn27214 script and I have somewhat of an armature (skeleton) but I don't see the mesh,
anyway I''ll have to play with it some more and wait for some updates.

any news on importing armature and animation to blender?

there are blender python plugin scripts to import psa and even milk shape files, but theys just don't work with armature and animation
