Hey guys,

Realised I had Men of Valor, so I decided to install it give it the umodel treatment since it's listed as "untested". Don't think it will be added to the "supported packages" list anytime, sorry to say!  Undecided

Here's the error message (from notify.txt) for animation:

******** C:\Umodel\Human.ukx ********

ERROR: Package "Human.ukx": wrong name index 7871
UnPackage::SerializeFName <- TArray::Serialize:34/41 <- UMeshAnimation.Serialize <- LoadObject:MeshAnimation'Human.Anim_Human', pos=3D1C, ver=137/0, game=200 <- UObject::EndLoad <- UnPackage::CreateExport:Human.ukx:2 <- LoadWholePackage <- Main

Here's another anim pacakge:

******** C:\Umodel\USMC_Watercraft.ukx ********

ERROR: assertion failed: size >= 0 && size < (256<<20)

appMalloc:size=-917392 <- TArray::Serialize:0/-8191 <- UMeshAnimation.Serialize <- LoadObject:MeshAnimation'USMC_Watercraft.USMC_lowpoly_Canoe', pos=5B5, ver=137/0, game=200 <- UObject::EndLoad <- UnPackage::CreateExport:USMC_Watercraft.ukx:0 <- LoadWholePackage <- Main

And here's the message for a staticmesh package:

******** C:\Umodel\boobytraps_stat.usx ********

ERROR: assertion failed: size >= 0 && size < (256<<20)

appMalloc:size=-14202 <- TArray::SerializeSimple <- UStaticMesh::Serialize <- LoadObject:StaticMesh'boobytraps_stat.spike_pit_stat', pos=12330, ver=134/0, game=200 <- UObject::EndLoad <- UnPackage::CreateExport:boobytraps_stat.usx:0 <- LoadWholePackage <- Main

Here's texture output:

ERROR: Access violation (C0000005) at 7C34302E
nv::DecompressDDS <- DecompressTexture:fmt=8 <- UTexture::Decompress <- ExportTga <- ExportObject:Texture'army_average01_tex' <- Main

_____________

I use a simple .bat file that I drag packages onto - works for every other game I've tested, so it can't be that...

Anyway, just thought I'd test it, as a community service  Grin Not requesting support by any means, but happy to assist further. Certainly some great stuff in there.

Oh, and great work, Gildor  Cool
And esr911!

Try to use is with "-notex -noanim -nostat" switches (to load SkeletalMesh only)

Hey Gildor Smiley

I used "umodel -notex -noanim -nostat human.ukx" - here's the output:

******** human.ukx ********

ERROR: assertion failed: size >= 0 && size < (256<<20)

appMalloc:size=-2105260672 <- TArray::Serialize:0/30412592 <- USkeletalMesh::Serialize <- LoadObject:SkeletalMesh'Human.temp', pos=39C772, ver=137/0, game=200 <- UObject::EndLoad <- UnPackage::CreateExport:Human.ukx:20 <- LoadWholePackage <- Main

Included a screendump with output from a -list as well, if that helps.

Anything else you'd like me to try? Smiley

The game has most parts customized, including non-standard geometry (triangle strips). I've added support for textures to specific build from this topic, you need to use game specific override.

Update: Specific build is updated with proper support for static meshes.

Proper support for static meshes is added to specific build, mentioned above. Since it's supposed to be the first correct implementation of triangle strips for umodel, any reports about inconsistencies are appreciated (except for back-face culling, which is easy to check by rotating mesh in the viewer), it may benefit further researches on other games with strips.
