Hello guys,
I have decompressed a file using decompress.exe and then I edit it but the game doesn't work with decompressed files, so I have to compress it again, can anyone please tell me how to do that  Huh?

Hi.
Is that UE3? Please check if there's "filename.uncompressed_size" file exists for filename.upk - if exists, delete it. Unreal engine handles compressed files transparently, so usually recompression is not needed. When "uncompressed_size" file exists, engine will FORCE to treat it as "fully compressed file".

Yes it's UE3 the game is Paladins, and there is no .uncompressed_size file in CookedPCConsole folder, I tried running the game with just the file decompressed (not edited) but it didn't run, it gives me the error:
SHA Verification failed for '..\..\ChaosGame\CookedPCConsole\TgGame.upk'. Reason: Bad hash

"SHA" is a checksum. There's nothing about compression. Be happy that game showed you a meaningful error Smiley

So there is no way I can bypass that?

You should edit game executable, so it won't check SHA hashes, or will ignore them.

Is that have anything to do with the EasyAntiCheat, because I've heard that the game can run without it on Windows XP

So I think it might run if EAC was disabled?

No idea. I'm not familiar with such terms and protection technologies, not my speciality.

So can you please tell me how I can edit game executable to prevent it from checking SHA hashes?

As I told you, I don't have anything more to tell. I'm not a hacker.
