Can't export Fortnite animations
« on: July 27, 2019, 18:55 »

Hey, anyone been having problems exporting animations ever since Umodel updated? I can't seem to get it to work at all.

I'm also really sorry if this has been asked before. I've been looking for solutions for days but found nothing.

UModel has updated animation code because Fortnite had update. May be you've updated umodel but not the game?

Okay, update: Decided to reinstall umodel and check to see if Fortnite was updated, and I still cannot export any animations whatsoever. Decided to try on a different game like Dauntless, and that too didn't work.

At least we have Radical Heights which equivalent to Fortnite Battle Royale. I guess it be modable game.Because Cliff Bleszinski closed his company Radical Heights just he did in early 90's with Game Syndicate Productions and joined to Epic Games. Currently he decided to permamently retire. He left Epic Games since 2012. So in that case Radical Heights,Jazz Jackrabbit 3(made by Dean Dodrill),Lawbreakers,Unreal Tournament 2016 are abandoned modern pc games.

Most likely. Though I'm unsure as to what I'm doing wrong.

This is what I did:

>Opened Umodel and set everything up (set game path, override to UE4.23; all common classes checked and all export-only classes unchecked)
>Entered the AES key (The one Blenux sent me earlier in the thread "0x024DD338CD22D0CABF298C5DED20E54AE4BBA39E5449A7FEBAB2FA5AA9E66A56")
>Navigated through Game/Athena/Prototype/Blueprints/Cattus/Anims
>Do what I always do and export all the .uassets in the folder to the export folder.

But for some reason, after exporting, nothing happens. The files just don't show up in my export folder. I even made a new folder just to make sure that it wasn't hidden away somewhere, but it just doesn't work.

Try changing export folder in settings. Try opening export folder via UModel's tools menu.

Tried that beforehand, no luck. Strange...I didn't change anything, so I'm not sure why animations aren't exporting. I'm going to try reinstalling Fortnite, and if that doesn't work, try to do it on a different computer.

Alright another update because I finally got Fortnite redownloaded here: Still no luck, I'm not sure why or whats causing this problem, because no matter what, the animations do not export. Everything else exports just fine (mesh, materials, textures, sounds, etc.), just not the animations.

Where are you navigating to after exporting them?

I recommend what you do is put Umodel in your /paks/ folder then drag it into your hot bar and then launch it from there and you are good to go! If this may fix your problem it also easily allows you to launch umodel without going into to too much folders.
