Game: Palia (steam page / official site)
UE version: 5.1 (current version) / 4.27 (previous versions)

Almost all works fine - including meshes, textures and animations - with the latest umodel build (1589 at the moment). Though there are a few virtual textures, which are currently not supported, you can use specific umodel build from this topic to just skip them. Note that most humanoid related animations are linked to heads, not bodies.

Update: Latest versions are mostly supported in specific UE5 build from the topic mentioned above.

Somehow, despite using the mentioned 'Tales of Arise' unmodel version, nothing works. I keep getting errors, no matter how many things I try:

Memory: bad allocation size -2123003260 bytes
appMalloc: size=-2123003260 (total=62 Mbytes) <- FArray::Empty: -892744821 x 12 <- FPackageFileSummary::Serialize4 <- FPackageFileSummary<<: Ver=0/0 <- UnPackage::UnPackage: /Game/Characters/Valerian/Jel/ABP_Jel.uasset, ver=522/0, game=ue4.[0-27] <- UnPackage::LoadPackage(info): /Game/Characters/Valerian/Jel/ABP_Jel.uasset <- CUmodelApp::ShowPackageUI <- Main: umodel_build=1579 based fix24

Any tips on how to go around this, or perhaps a fix? ._.
PS: I tried it with unreal version 4.27, and with "Tales of Arise". Neither worked.

@Sreliata: I didn't test very latest build, maybe they've upgraded to 5.2 version already. You can take a look at properties of the game executable, engine version is usually written there, then choose respective engine in UE5 build.

@Sreliata
It works for me. Did you use umodel_materials_ue5.exe and selected 5.1?

umodel works well to extract the assets, but I am looking for a solution to extract the data of map locations and items.
Does anyone have an advice for me?

@DevLeon: You can take a look at more general tools like fmodel or uassetgui, but they have their own specifics while working with UE5 games.
