Dead by Daylight

Game: Dead by Daylight (steam page / EGS page)
UE4 version: 5.2 (current version) / 4.22-27 (previous versions)
AES key: in the same place as usual (link)

Since old topic for PC version was somehow lost in time, here is new one. To avoid possible issues with previous game versions, it's recommended to use specific umodel build from this topic - no special override is required, simply choose proper engine version.

Update: For latest game versions you need to use UE5 build, available in the topic mentioned above, with game specific override. For general limitations and possible issues please check this topic. You can also extract non-native assets from usual packages with respective quickbms script from specific scripts bundle, available in the topic with keys. For more info read sticked topic and this post.

If you have issues with mobile version of the game, you can address them to respective separate topic, since it's developed separately and may have different issues, especially versions for different regions.

Pak D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Dead by Daylight/DeadByDaylight/Content/Paks/pakchunk0-Windows.pak: 4397 files, version 12
but it still opens correctly (i think). but i cant get .props so they can work in blender with UE addon for textures (which was working on ue 4.27)

With the linked UE5 version I got models and textures working, but for some reason animations aren't exporting, complains about missing skeleton:

I saw in the other topic they mentioned appending stuff in specific order for animations to work, but tried that method with no success, am I possibly running wrong version, exporting wrong asset or something else?

@HitmanVere: It's explained in the topic with general limitations, mentioned in the first post, please read it carefully. In general, you need to open a mesh, then append respective skeleton, then append animations. You can use for example screenshot from the first post as reference to get general idea behind all this (AnimSet part is the name of skeleton for UE4/5 games).

Thanks for help, I tried loading the model, then appending skeleton like what you have as a test, yet it keeps saying no skeleton:

@HitmanVere: If you see in logs that the skeleton is loaded after appending it, you can ignore the warning and proceed further (append animations, etc).

@spiritovod Ah, the errors were confusing me a bit, thus making unnecessary moves with the files. Finally got an animation to export, thanks a lot for your help!

I wanted to extract some of the models from this game to 3dprint for a friend. Is it no longer possible to do after they switched to UE5? I tried selecting the different versions in the tale of the arise linked thread but to no avail. can the model be extracted anymore?

@Newbie31: For latest game versions make sure you're using UE5 build with game specific override (with the game name) instead of generic engine version. Aside from that it should be still supported, considering general limitations of the build.

Much appreciated for your response. I had overlooked the name in the override dropdown list. I tried again and it worked perfectly and after a few trial and errors figured out how to extract the meshes. I have encountered another issue however. I cant extracted the pose/animations. says its related to not being able to find a skeleton. is there a work around for this or i need to change settings??. any help is appreciated.
