Meshes, Skeletons, Vertex attributes (Colors and Weights), and Material assignments all seem to work, but the Textures and Materials do not.

Texture Warning (no mipmaps, console output):

WARNING: texture T_RobocopBody_01_A was skipped, maybe it's a virtual texture
WARNING: Texture2D T_RobocopBody_01_A has no valid mipmaps

Material Error (wrong name index, fatal error):

Package "/Game/Meshes/Characters/Robocop/MaterialsV2/MI_RoboBody_01.uasset": wrong name index 1402470236
UnPackage::SerializeFName: pos=000006A1 <- HandleSimpleProp: Count=1, Index=0 <- CTypeInfo::SerializeUnversionedProperties4: Type=FVectorParameterValue <- HandleTArray <- CTypeInfo::SerializeUnversionedProperties4: Type=UMaterialInstanceConstant <- UObject::Serialize <- LoadObject: MaterialInstanceConstant'MI_RoboBody_01.MI_RoboBody_01', pos=6A1, ver=527/0, game=ue5.2 <- UObject::EndLoad <- LoadWholePackage: /Game/Meshes/Characters/Robocop/MaterialsV2/MI_RoboBody_01.uasset <- ExportPackages <- CUmodelApp::ShowPackageUI <- Main: umodel_build=1579 based fix25

Look to the other UE5 threads for the most updated fork with 5.2 compatibility.

Can confirm the Tales of Arise build works fine, but textures are broken. Hope this can be resolved by someone.

This worked pretty well Textures were broken but tried my luck with Fmodel and was able to get the textures it was something to do with a USMAP File being needed to load and export the textures Render i did in blender for proof If anyone needs the textures you can use this mediafire link there is no teeth or eye texture i only exported the main texture folder for him https://www.mediafire.com/file/4w5uk9g09oko9e3/Robocop_Textures.zip/file

I was able to generate a USMAP using DLL injection method, but I still get an error with FModel regarding null references.

Could you both:

- Provide the .usmap you used

- Explain the texture export process using FModel?

Scratch that, we're in.

For anyone wondering: inject https://github.com/TheNaeem/UnrealMappingsDumper using any old DLL injector, but ensure the injection occurs whilst the game is running, not during startup. I used Xenos and injected the DLL into an existing process.

Use the WinShipping executable found in the game's binaries folder, not the executable in the main folder.

The injector should prompt you that unreal version 5.2 was detected and the time it took for a mapping file to be created.

Then, in FModel, make a new game profile for Rogue City under version 5.2 and under settings in the general tab, go to the advanced category and enable the local mapping file option, then direct FModel to your newly generated .usmap file.

Textures can now be exported without issue.

I'd buy THAT for a dollar.

@DayPay: umodel doesn't support audio formats, used in modern UE games. I guess it would be better to hide that option from respective build to avoid confusion. If you need to extract audio from modern UE games, take a look at fmodel.

Anyone managed to fix the textures without DLL injections?
