UE5 version: 5.3

Partially supported with specific build from this topic, you need to use game specific override. For general limitations and possible issues please read this topic (almost all textures are virtual ones).

forgive my ignorance on the subject. but what *are* virtual textures, and how would we export them?

@Kayhotic: You may read those two articles (first, second) for better understanding. They're not supported in umodel at the moment. You can use fmodel for them, though it has its own specifics for UE5 games, which should be rather asked at respective community.

Even still, weapons/armor materials are highly custom and the environmental/static meshes don't seem to be supported by either.

A strange issue, all the weapons other than the guns/bows appear to only have their low SM LODs, their proper SK models are not present at all. The issue is the same in FModel, they simply aren't shown at all and I'm stumped.

Damn I see that now from external research, fallback meshes. Nanite is going to be a big problem and could kill modding completely

Umodel has never supported virtual textures, but in this case that's exactly what they are.
