You should use "decompress.exe" to convert compressed packages to uncompressed. After that you may modify these packages with any binary editor.

hi, is there a way to replace audio files in a UT3 game? thanks to your extractor i can extract the audio files (SoundNodeWave), but i'm willing to alter them like dubbing in a new language, then replacing them in the game... is that possible? and if true, how?

You may do: 1) decompress package using "Unreal Package Decompressor" to allow its modifications (of course, you should not do this step when package is not compressed; decompress.exe will simply copy package when it is not compressed) 2) use "umodel -list <package name>" - this will show list of objects inside archive with its file positions and sizes 3) extract sounds as you have do before 4) modify sound, resulting file length should be exactly the same as before 5) replace data block in package using positions acquired on step (2)
Of course I can be wrong, I've never done this before. May be other people can help?

so as far as i've understood, there is no way to repack (rebuild) the upk file, and what i gotta do is manually override the data block with something like an hex editor, true? what if the resulting sound files are to be in a different size? i don't know much about unreal editor, but isn't it possible to rebuild a upk file with ueditor?

Hi, Someone can you tell me how translate the subtitle english in french in-game. Is it possible to make me a tutorial because I try everything but it doesn't work. And I use decompress.exe create by gildor on file .upk and it's create a directory unpacked and i modified the file .upk in unpacked with editor hexadecimal like Winhex, I save the file and I replace the file in directory of origin. But when I launch the game, then it's crash. Thank you for your help.
