Hi!

I managed to import all parts of a character into blender using .psk files exported from UModel, and I'm trying to make it dance.
It's working fine at 99%, except that when I apply the animation from the .psa the face seems to get distorted:

You can see that the upper lip and the arch of the eyebrows is wrong. The head is also weird (it has a hole) but you can't see it because of the hoodie.

I'm not sure if the issue is with the UModel export, the psk/psa importer for blender, or a combination of both?

.blend with all 3 parts of the skin: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/420196327088062467/618087534181744640/durr_pj_static.blend

.psa file to apply: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/420196327088062467/618087544390811658/Emote_Hip_Hop_CMM.psa

Any idea how to fix that?

You have to delete the face weights to get it looking right, this is a known issue.

Weights on the mesh, find a weight like L_Eye and either delete it or change L to l and it will reset to normal, though you will have a standard face pose with the rest of the emote animation.

I still have the same problem after importing the files from 3D-StudioMax to Cinema4D R23.

Any help?

Nice picture (not taking into account bone problems).

When did you update the UE Viewer? Check the Fortnite thread, or my twitter, or my Patreon page - I've provided a new build recently (the build number should be larger than 1500). If fixes some problems with animations, especially facial ones.

I used:

UE Viewer (UModel)
Compiled Feb 14 2021 (build 1505)

and the ActorX Importer 1.38 for 3ds Max to import the PSK files and to apply the PSA animation track.

I did try some adjustment on the "translation mode" on ActorX Importer wich seem to fix things for the male models but unfortunately not for the female ones.:

Hey Gildor,

it is the following pack:

- F_MED_Street_Fashion_Red.psk
- F_MED_Street_Fashion_Red_FaceAcc.psk
- F_MED_Angel_Head_01.psk

- Commando_Female_Body_Intro.psa

It allo looks good in 3DSMAX R.2021 until I load an animation track.
I have less problems working with male 3d modes but there is something special with the female models.

I did try all the translation modes:

1. Use from AnimSet
2. Force Mesh Translation
3. Force AnimSet Translation

Some work better than the others.

I packed all the files here:
https://we.tl/t-GlRpXz6KS2

Is there anyway to apply an Pose/Emote and a facial expression like:

- F_MED_Angel_Head_FaceBakePose.psa

at the same time?

Thank you so much for your support. It is highly appreciated.

Greetings Mike.

P.S.
This is a frame of a short animation I am working on to test the potential of the extracted modes and textures:

Same problem with the FLASH model.
It all looks fine after importing the psk but goes pretty wild after applying a psa.

Maybe the screenshot is of any help:

There is something wrong with the positioning of the bones during the psa import.
As you can see here the bones:

L_brow_outer
R_brow_outer

complete loose there connection to the rest of the skeleton:

After deleting those bones, the forehead returns to normal but can no longer be animated:

There is for sure a bone set in the mouth region that goes crazy as well. Let me check this...

Greetings

Mike.
