Hello everyone. First of all, thank you for taking your time in reading this.

I want to import a model to start working on Cinema 4D
The model is Boxer the Unicorn (I didn't find it on internet, so i decided to extract it from the game files)

I got an issue getting the model properly... So, I will write all the steps I did:

1.- I used Umodel to extract the Skeletal Mesh (.Psk file) and to extract the textures.

2.- I downloaded and installed Blender in order to export .Psk to .Obj (and use it on C4D)

3.- I downloaded and installed the .Psk Import/Export Add-on from GitHub (https://github.com/Befzz/blender3d_import_psk_psa)

3.- I imported the .Psk on Blender and I got the first Issue:

To be honest I really can't tell if this is correct (I Don't know about Blender... Just C4D) I see that group of lines away from the model: I suppose that those lines are bones.

4.- I exported the model to .Obj to use it on C4D

5.- On C4D the model doesn't have any bones or group of it. Just the static model, It doesn't load the textures or recognize the materials.

I want to know what I did wrong. I don't know if it was the way I extracted the model from Umodel or the way I imported the model.

Thank you very much in advance.

Hi,
I'd suggest trying export to glTF format, and importing it with Blender 2.8 standard importer. May be you'll get different results.
Also check the skeleton in UModel itself, "S" key shows it in a viewer.

Hello, Thank you for your fast reply.

Okay, I got better result in the model itself. (way much smoother than before)

But the skeleton it's a bit messy:

Checking the skeleton on Umodel as you ask me, I don't see anything wrong:

The export setup:

The thing you showed us in Blender is rather not a "skeleton", these are separate bones. Similar picture should be seen in 3ds Max. Just try playing animation and check if animated mesh is correct.
UE Viewer shows skeleton in a different way, just like UE does: it doesn't show bone transforms, but shows connection between bones.

It worked! Thank you so much!

The problem was that I didn't choose the right glTF file when I extracted the model (it gives you a bunch of them, for each pose or animation)

Then, I exported to another compatible format for C4D. Because if I export in .Obj format, it doesn't include the animations, bones or joints.

Thank you once again for helping me.
